Battery isolator
A battery isolator is an electrical device that divides direct current (DC) into multiple branches and only allows current in one direction in each branch. The primary benefit of such an arrangement is the ability to simultaneously charge more than one battery from a single power source (e.g., an alternator) without connecting the battery terminals together in parallel.
Battery Insulation Wrap, Sleeves, & More
The Battery Mat is a tough nonwoven felt constructed from the same polymer that is used to house lead acid batteries. The Battery Mat is capable of protect- ing your vehicle from the venting of sulfuric acid in lead acid batter- ies by absorbing and neutralizing the aid before it has a chance to corrodemetalsurfaces.
Science Simplified: What Is a Battery?
What Is a Battery? Batteries power our lives by transforming energy from one type to another. Whether a traditional disposable battery (e.g., AA) or a rechargeable lithium-ion battery (used in cell phones, laptops, and cars), a battery stores chemical energy and releases electrical energy. Th
Insulation material between aluminum case cells.
A) Never install batteries into a metal case without providing electrical isolation between the box & the cells. (short potential) B) Never use anything that can retain moisture.

Insulation material between aluminum case cells.
I used an insulation material that is only 3mm thick. I then compressed the cells with threaded rod and end restraints, such that the nuts were tightened so that i could only just turn the threaded rods by hand. This leaves the pack as one unit, but allows for a very small amount of expansion right in the middle of the pack cells.
What is Isolation?
When isolation first emerged, it mostly concerned itself with simple physical separation and the use of insulating materials to prevent short circuits and electrical shocks. Higher-tech forms of isolation were clearly needed as electronic systems became more complex, especially with the introduction of integrated circuits in the 1950s and 1960s.
